The other day I went and bought myself a pattern for this off the shoulder sweater. Before I bought the pattern though, I told the lady at the yarn store that I was concerned about the use of a cable needle. I've never used one before. *dies* You are SO much more advanced than I am! I'm just now getting the hang of cables/lace/increases et decreases all on their lonesome. I can't quite fathom using them in a garment yet. @-@ My mind, it boggles. I see you posted your question on the knitting comm, so I hope you got the answer you need! ;3

I've never used cables before, the cable needle on this pattern isn't actually making a cable, it's just being used to get rid of two stitches on each end of the needle. As for lace, I've never ever tried that before, although it sounds very interesting ( ... )
