I had a bit of a walk around Dunwich today and was glad of the walking boots. Despite a lot of the footpaths being on heathland there was a lot of clarty mud about. I also came across a pheasant leck ...

I would say it was a break in winter's hostilities. Cold weather back next week apparently. You know the old saying about cats sitting in the February sun don't you?

There is so... much... mud... "Clarty" describes it perfectly.

Love pictures. I can never get that close to pheasants when I have Max with me.

Oh dear...those snowdrops...sun, green grass, no snow, no frozen everything...and lovely pheasants in their mating outfit!

Unfortunately we are likely to return to being frozen at the end of the week. I'm glad I got out in the sun while I could.
