What time is it? Why, a little over three months until quartercon! I'll be making more announcements as we get closer to the actual date and as more plans firm up. But tradition dictates that I give a few months notice, and I love thinking about it anyway

Count me in for Abita, dude. Oh, note that there's supposed to be an Abita restaurant nearby, might make for a good place for lunch after the tour!

I've heard good things about the brew pub, but it would mean a schedule change and a longer bus rental, plus everyone eating in the same place. Ah, the logistics of herding cats.

The Abita Brew Pub gets two thumbs up from my house. We try to go every time we visit my mom. Beer drinkers will appreciate the sampler and I recommend the Abby Ale :)
If time permitted, I'd recommend the really awesome park next door with the two story gazebo.

It's really the time that's the limiting factor. We'd need to rent the bus for an extra couple of hours, and we'd also have very little time to get the suite ready for the Friday night party. But I really would like to try it some time!

As I won't be going to France due to my college, both me and Karla will be in attendance at some point during the weekend.

my usual three will be in attendance. with saturday free you may want to consider the ren fest this year as a possible activity. they do group rates for parties over ten I want to say.

Glad to hear it, Gary! And my only concern about the Ren Fest is the logistical issue of traveling there and back. But I shall take it under advisement.

true. the difference in travel between the abita brewery site and the fair site is roughly 25 mile though, so it's not an impossible problem, just likely an expensive one if you can't put together a carpool.
