I need some help, actually - how much time do you suggest is appropriate for taking off before/after a wedding day?
I don't know how elaborate your wedding is going to be, or indeed how much planning in advance you are doing, but I can answer this from what we found:
We took 3 days off, which was supposed to be a fairly relaxed build-up, we wanted to minimise the rushing around before. I had some family coming from Scotland and Ireland who were to be arriving early, and I wanted to have some time to help herd them around. We also wanted some time to destress after finishing work.
For reference, we had quite a few people to the wedding, but it was very informal.
This is very helpful, thankyou! Yep, looks like we've managed to get the invite list to 280 which is absolutely massive but is still leaving out lots of people who we'd like!
I know how you feel, we had one much around half that size. We thought (only briefly) about quite how big it would be if we invited everyone, and decided that might be a bit too many!
I'm sure that no matter what happens as far as arrangements go, you'll have an amazing day!
I think that it depends on honeymoon plans... but definitely take a good chunk of time off before you get wed. Again, depens how much of it you're doing yourself- I needed a lot of time because we did a lot of the wedding stuff ourselves!
I really hope that this year will be amazing for you both hun, and I'm sure that your wedding will be perfect no matter what you decide to do because you were made fo each other and that love will shine through anything and everything that happens.
That is a flawlessly beautiful comment, hun. How wonderful! I'm just reading your 2010 closing post now and it looks like your festivities were full of love and light!
