Poufsouffle is amazing. Seriously. XD

It is totally mental - you think reading it is hard, try speaking it or understanding it. It's very...I can't even describe it other than fast, sing-songy, throaty (But not as throaty as Dutch) and rather mumbly. But that bit actually says: "Harry Potter and Ron, and at last Draco". XD There's lots of rather innocent words in Norwegian that either look bad in English or when read really quickly your brain turns naughty. I keep seeing "fart" everywhere, which actually means speed. Still doesn't stop me from having an immature chuckle though, especially when it's on a huge sign in red block letters.

That's pretty much exactly why I can read Norwegian a lot better than I can speak it/understand it when spoken to me. Also, any TV programs shown in English have Norwegian subtitles, so I've been reading the subtitles while listening to the English. As for me learning Norwegian before coming here, I tried but got way too busy with academic stuff for it to really have been effective.

LOL, I know, right? I actually see those words fairly often and it still makes me giggle, but they don't stand out as much to me. Norwegian is such a funny language.
