I've always liked the A-10. Not the prettiest plane around, but simple and tough as heck. It's kind of a shame that they're so keen to replace it with the F-35.

Agreed. Obviously, the upper Generals have never asked the ground pounders what they think of the A-10. When I first got a closeup look at the Warthog at Farnborough in 1978, I couldn't believe that gun...I was afraid to even go up and touch it xD
