I find that hilarious, but I also find it scary.
'Complacent anti-feminism' is not a cool thing, and I think people should better understand the motives and objectives of feminists and people against sexism before they damn them.
I'm am not saying that I am the most knowledgable person in the kitchen, I just think a lot of people say they 'hate feminists' without actually knowing what they're against.
My understanding of a feminist isn't one of a radical, bra-burning, hairy, crazed lunatic, but normal men and women who believe in equality for women. In this sense I am a feminist, and I would consider any man or woman who shares this belief to also be a feminist.
'I hate feminists' sounds, to me, like "I don't believe in feminism. A womans place is in the home and she will be sub-ordinate and unequal to men". Maybe I've got that wrong and its not what people actually mean, but they don't like radical feminists, which is a completely understandable opinion ( ... )

okay.. firstly from what you have said i am, by your definition a feminist.. however i do HATE the feminists that blame men for all the problems in society.. i also hate radical feminists..

other than that i really couldnt be bothered at the moment debating this..

however i do think that it has gone beyond equal, example: if a women even thinks the words sexual descrimination then every feminist and politically correct wank out there will come running and crying, however if i man feels like he is being sexually descriminated against noone cares.. noone would take a guy in that situation seriously he would have to yell from the roof tops to ever be heard.. its fucking bullshit!

but as i stated men and women should be EQUAL..

beyond equal...? nooo way! there is a long way before equality my friend, and I honestly don't know if it can ever be achieved(thats a whole nuther argument), but I still think its a noble cause.
And I completely agree with you about it being all PC and wanky but maybe some things have to go a little too far in the opposite direction before they can swing back and hit the middle again.
Feminism itself is by nature PC and wanky, (I don't know how to properly explain this! but i assure you) and I know that sucks, because its a cool thing, but its the way it is, and somethings, you just have to put up with.

We have discussed this on chat, so I won't bring up issues here. ;-)

What i did find amusing was your line that by definition, your a feminist. Hmmm- it was just a silly mental image that's all. :p

I think sometimes everything is taken way to seriously. It's very hard to laugh at anything not deemed politically correct or appropiate for fear of of having some agressive opinion shoved down your throat. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves sometimes.
