I haven't started Birth By Sleep yet. I'm gonna talk about anime instead. I got addicted to crunchyroll for a while, so I've actually seen a bunch of fairly recent stuff. I'll be honest, I don't think I really have any idea what was going on in this series even when it was over.

The true sign of an Ikuhara series. I just watch them anyway and enjoy the ride. Penguindrum was less confusing then Utena, though, at least after I saw a helpful apple-related diagram created by a fan.

And YES, Sanetoshi is fabulous and I love him.

(I checked out a Madoka clip and was turned off by the art style too--but later I watched from the beginning. I still don't like the three-foot-wide football heads, but I like the rest of it.)

haha I have never actually seen Utena. But I just kind of assumed I was too dumb to get it because usually I don't understand symbolism (or even notice it) unless it has all the subtlety of a brick to the face.

Nobody understands Utena, they just watch it anyway. :'D You are not dumb!

btw, one of my online friends who went to San Japan told me excitedly that she'd gotten a picture of a Link cosplayer for me...and you were that cosplayer. I knew because she also took a photo of your custom Link figurine at your artist's booth.

(That is a good Link cosplay.)

omg I remember somebody talking about one of their friends who was an awesome Link RPer and I was actually wondering if it might be you, haha. That group saw me on the way back from the bathroom on one of the rare occasions that I left my table and I invited them over XD There were so many dgm fans at that con, it kind of made how shitty business and my location were worth it.
