[For a moment or two, all that can be heard is the sound of a door opening. And shutting. Opening. And shutting. Opening...]

I- I will never, never get over it, Álvaro!

[Angela's voice is faintly surprised. Even though she's been here all this time, it hasn't really occured to her to go peeking into rooms and houses. Most of her time has actually ( Read more... )

Is there something interesting about the doors locking mechanisms I should be aware of?

W... well. The locks work! The doors open! Every last one of them... Isn't that good?

Well, yes, you're correct, but I fail to see why this common occurance is being celebrated.

But it isn't common! At least... not where I came from. The locks were almost always broken, all over the town! So only a few doors could be opened. And even then, there was the fire, so... well, it wasn't very accessible.

Wow, the doors are all open here too?! [She's used to it back home but she doesn't often go around opening strangers' doors.]

So you mean...the doors in your world are always locked? [That's pretty weird.]

N-no. It's just that, well, the town I was in. Almost all the locks were broken, so the doors wouldn't open!

Broken? Looks like someone didn't want ya getting in. Wonder why not...[because then the game would be too straight forward. Like FF13] Maybe there was a lock breaker going around breaking people's locks while they were sleeping! A mystery!

There was practically nobody in town. It was deserted. Maybe the fire melted the locks.

Were the locks supposed to be broken?

Well, I'm... not quite sure.

It would be more abnormal if the locks were broken though.

Oh, no no, not at all! See, the, uh. The town I was in before- almost all the locks were broken.

[... oh my god. Someone who understands.]

I know! It's surreal, isn't it?!

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself!

Seriously, like... nobody locks their shit here.

I'm amazed anybody still owns anything without it getting stolen.

Well... people here seem really, really nice. So maybe it's ok to leave the door unlocked here.

Or maybe people just assume nobody'd be that stupid.
