Ooo, definitely grabbing that last yellow Mary Poppins icon, it's beautiful and I love the texture + negative space combo going on there. Love all of these, actually. Not really a classic film buff, but these are all super unique, really love them, as always!

It's how my siblings and I bonded, tucked up on the couch after the parents had gone to bed watching the late night black & white movies. I'm a huge movie fan in general, but they will always be a place in my heart for the classics. :)

Thanks! I'm having fun playing around with the nice HQ pics I am finding of B&W movies, lol.

Stunning icons! The colors & your use of negative space and text is amazing. Snagged the Fred/Rita & Mary Poppins ones...will credit when used, thank you so much!

Thank you! It's not always easy to color things that are originally black & white, but it's fun. :)

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES.

Sorry... I am capslock excited about icon #4.

In our house, we watch it at least 6 or 7 times a year! I taped it to the dvr when it was recently on TCM, then sis and I watched it and I erased it. Sis yelled at me for erasing it, even though we have digital copy of it, lol! We're that silly for it.

OMG, I played one of the aunts in a stage production in high school. Every time I see the movie, I say the dialogue in my head... but would you believe, I can't remember which aunt I was! I learned both lines for my cue and now I can't remember which part my friend played and which one I played. :P

Anyways, that's why I made #4. I love that line.

LOL! I love that you played one of them in school. My high school did a production of the play while I was there too. I ran tech rather than being in the show, but then, acting was never really my thing. I only did a few plays here and there, and one of the musicals.

One of the first icons I ever had on LJ was of James Stewart saying that insanity runs in his family. "It practically gallops."

I love this movie so f-ing much. It's just so good.
