I figured it would take me about two hours to clean the house - at least, the bits I told myself needed cleaning. At two o'clock, I looked at all I had done, and what was left to do, and nodded to myself.

I said aloud. "You would have been right, two hours was just about enough time. If you didn't add all those other things, you'd be done by now."

I don't think I ever have conversations with myself out loud. I do exclaim things to myself sometimes, or make comments...

I think the reason I talk so much around others is to get it out of my system so I don't talk to my self.
