It's been two weeks since the reality explosion tore through Parker's universe, twisting her mind and making everything so clear. Two weeks since she drugged her suddenly-penitent ex-husband, and savagely beat him until he was unable to escape her. Two weeks that she's been holding him, drugged and at her mercy. Two weeks, but it feels like ( Read more... )

Two weeks since the first beating, and only a few days since the most recent. Norman's still in pretty bad shape, but when he hears her scream...

He feels the same twist, something resetting, unsettling and a surge of anger that gets buried immediately (for the moment) under alarm. Because she's still screaming.

He struggles to get out of that white bed. The door's locked, but he falls before he reaches it, so it hardly matters. He'll try, though. Just... lots of ow.

"Parker!"

The glass is in bright slivers at her feet, the red wine staining clean white tile. But she doesn't care. She -- oh, oh God. She did that to him. That, all of that, and she was planning on so much more... His voice doesn't pierce through the horror right away, the disgust and the wrenching sickness. But give her just a moment more, or another shout or two, and it will, oh yes.

"Parker!"

Two arms work well enough to haul himself upright, using the bedside table. Neither leg wants to hold him, but he needs to know what's happening.

"Parker!" Answer him, damnit, before he reaches the door and tries to kick it down. Because... He'll totally just hurt himself.

She hears him the second and third times, yes. Jerking like a puppet on tight strings toward where the yell came from, his name on her lips barely louder than a whisper. "Norman..."

He's still there. Still in that prison of a white room and she needs to -- shaking and numb, she's running up the stairs, down that hall. Not letting herself, not letting herself think about what he might do to her for this. She can't, or she'd never let him go. "Norman!"
