grapevines and chinese whispers

At primary school, in the classroom, I use to enjoy playing the game "grapevines", or "chinese whispers" as it was known at other schools; simply because of the giggles it caused as the message returned full circle totally distorted and so unlike the original.

Apparently, in the adult world, it still provides for great entertainment value.

Why bother?
the lemmings need a scapegoat,
and no matter what evidence is produced to prove my innocence,
i will continue to be viewed by one quarter or another as the
Devil incarnate.
resorting to the level of their ape-like behaviour,
or logical for that matter are both futile.
They've cost me enough of my self-respect and dignity,
not to mention what they've cost both of us financially.
I have no desire to swim any further in monkey feaces,
nor any desire to regain the respect of any of them.
