What an odd evening.

I've been watching the ELECTION RESULTS

:|

...and it was actually quite oddly enjoyable, what with stories about 36yrs olds demolishing ballot boxes with gold clubs and reducing women and children to hysteria in Edinburgh, boats carrying ballot boxes from arran getting stuck on the clyde... plus Brian's Braces (which were specially chosen to be politically neutral... they were covered in multicoloured frogs). You think I'm making this up?!

I don't really understand anything about politics, but the SNP still scare me. I know it's irrational, but since early childhood I associated their wee symbol with really scary folk in the village I lived in, and just general bigots. It seems that they're actually one of the more sensible parties out there, and that kinda scares me. But not as much as the fact that the Scottish Christian Party actually got a decent amount of votes in the one constituency I watched that they had a candidate in.... as in over a thousand :| Read the website. It's not as amazing as the flyer Jamie showed me the other day, but it does have a video claiming that teenagers who have abortions are 800x more likely to get breast cancer. Yeah.

It seems like there's also been an awful amount of spoiled ballots this year too... in one constituency it was over a thousand (up from just over 100)... which seems insane! I'd like to think every one was a concious 'spoiler', drawing obscene caricatures of the candidates, but i think more worryingly, people just don't understand what to do with all the little boxes...

Just checked the bbc website - at this point in the evening (0219), Conservatives are in the lead in England (32:13), Labour up here (but only 4:3), and Wales have only had 1 labour result.

Still loads to go.

I find it odd that I actually kinda care this time... I guess it's because change is definitely afoot.

...and that kids, is what happens when you spend too long writing essays on fibres... DRIVEN TO POLITICS
