Whoa City.

Feb 24, 2008 09:51

As of 1am this morning, I am officially going to Melbourne with my homies in July.

I will also be getting on a plane for the first time in my life and may possibly have to be heavily sedated due to my extreme fear of flying.

Yay, overdose on Phenergan!  Happy times.

That is all.

going to see Wicked? I'm really not going to bother because I'm just that grumpy about the casting. That, and we'll be blowing $500 on Cirque Du Soleil tickets, and I'm off to Perth in April. Also, I plan to go and see it in New York when we hop off to America which should be soon, hopefully.

Ahhh yes, lol, I am, despite the fact that the winkie prince is a total moron and the munchkin is an actual munchkin who may be able to sing but I seriously doubt his acting skills to be anything of great calibre, and also the fact that the Wizard just makes me vomit in general and Elphaba is not Idina Menzel - I just thought "What the heck" and decided to go anyway for the hell of it, mainly because I got an ace deal and decided I might as well take the deal up because I don't do anything better with my time and I'm pretty sure I'd need to do something exciting during uni holidays to get over how bored I am with uni. I totally abhor the casting as well and constantly like to moan about how woeful it is, but I thought it might be a nice little excursion to go on with friends so I'd put up with the woeful un-theatrics of Anthony Callea and Rob Mills and the ever abhorent Rob Guest ( ... )

mm, I wish my theatre going this year was that spectacular. I couldn't find anyone to go and see Breakfast Club with me D:
Where is Guys and Dolls on? I do love that musical.
My only advise for seeing Wicked would be to remember to bring a sniper rifle. Perhaps you could pick out more than one cast member before they noticed.

Opens in Melbourne at the Princess Theatre once Phantom of the Opera comes to Sydney - speaking of which, I think that may be another one I will be seeing.

Lol - sniper rifle sounds like an abfab idea!

Dunno, can't remember the dates - don't have the paperwork for the flights, someone else does...I'm sure they'll tell me a few days before we fly out though.
