We went out to the country yesterday after Randy got off work. His friends. Randy and the guys were piddling around with a boat that Henry (Randy's friend) bought. There were 4 different men there (one of them being Randy) with kids. They were all playing in the lake and rowing around in boats. One of the men I noticed kept staring at me. Some reunions are worth having ^_^

As for approaching Candace. Since you seemed to be closest to her, just go up to her. It's been a long time, but I'm sure she realizes it wasn't your fault for not seeing her for so long. Just go up to her house, ring or knock. Hopefully when she answers, she'll recognize you right away. She may feel closed off to the rest of the world, but from what you put here, she was very close to you.

And with you going to her, you may break the ice of her getting out of the house. You're the start. Once she's back into the groove of seeing someone who she found comforting, she'll, hopefully, start inching her way out of her house and doing her own thing.

I so hope you're right. She is the prettiest girl with such a good heart. I hope this doesn't come out sounding wrong but I hope that I don't have to do the whole "mother" thing of teaching makeup and hair. I JUST started doing the makeup thing again and as for hair....well, you've seen mine and it's obvious I don't go to a hair stylist!

Wow...that poor girl..

I figure, yoiu were like the only positive role model in her life - she will most probably embrace you like a lifeline. Yep, I say just go visit, bring the pictures as you wanted to, and take your lead from her. If her feelings are closed off, give her leeway; If they are open & begging to be fed, have a feast!
I think that, either way, both of you will benefit :)

Walk up with a big smile and say "Hi I sure have missed you." Extending a hug. I think that will create a pretty simple reaction.

What a tragic story.

She is probably autistic.

I love you bro!! This made me tear up. So simple and yet beautiful. PERFECT! It says everything without saying it.

This makes a whole heck of a lot of sense too. She does fit the autistic personality. To a T. I can't wait till Randy gets back to run this past him and get his thoughts. That would help me a lot in figuring out how to help her.

*mwah*! You're the best!
