Another red letter day,
So the pound has dropped and the children are creating,
The other half ran away,
Taking all the cash and leaving you with the lumber,
Got a pain in the chest,
Doctors on strike what you need is a rest
It's not easy love, but you've got friends you can trust,
Friends will be friends,
When you're in need of love they give you care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When you're through with life and all hope is lost,
Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends right till the end
Now it's a beautiful day,
The postman delivered a letter from your lover,
Only a phone call away,
You tried to track him down but somebody stole his number,
As a matter of fact,
You're getting used to life without him in your way
It's so easy now, cos you got friends you can trust,
Friends will be friends,
When you're in need of love they give you care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When you're through with life and all hope is lost,
Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends (right till the end)
Harry woke up in a very strange house. He looked around at how much dust had collected and knew where he was right away - Number 12 Grimmauld place or Sirius's house. Well, actually it's his mother's house or it had been in the family for a while. He heard the tap tap tap of an owl on the window. Harry got up from the spot where he was laying and walked to the window. It was Ginny's owl and he saw something in its mouth.
Another red letter day, he thought to himself.
He had received yet another howler from Ginny. He took the howler out of the owl's mouth and gave it a treat before it flew off. Harry sat down in a nearby arm chair.
"Hey mate!" he yelled to his best friend, Ron. "I received another howler from your sister!"
Ron had just gotten to the top of the stairs when he heard Harry and ran into the room.
"Aye? What does it say this time?" he asked eagerly.
"I don't know," replied Harry as he started to open the howler.
Hermione had just walked in and asked, "Another one? Talk about personal vendetta much? Well, go on, open it - don't let me stand in the way of you getting yelled at." "Ha ha." he said opening it.
It screamed at him in the sound of Ginny's voice: "You moron! Why can't you get it through your head that we won't ever be together again? Blaize and I are very happy, leave us be please." The howler turned to Ron, "Oh, and happy birthday dear brother, so sorry I can't be there."
Harry slouched in the armchair, and Ron stared at the howler ripping its self up with a vacant stare.
"That was brutal," Hermione said.
Harry turned to her. "Well the other half ran away," he said walking off.
"He's got it really bad, does he?" Ron asked Hermione.
"What do you suppose we do?" she asked curiously, "He loves your sister, and she's obviously not getting the point." Hermione groaned.
"And you obviously say the word, obviously too much." he commented.
Ginny was freaking out by this time.
"Oh my god, I sent him a howler, how could I have done that? Have I stooped that low? Oh, that was big mistake," she went on as Blaize walked into the room.
"Hey, calm down okay? It's not the end of the world, as a matter of fact you're getting used to life without him in your way," he said, wrapping his arms around Ginny and setting his head on her shoulder as they looked out the window together.
"I don't know." Ginny said, shrugging and then pulling out of his grasp, "I don't want to hate Harry, he's just given me a reason to, I'd like him in my life as a friend, but nothing more right now." She walked over to the window and opened it, "I'm going to sit on the roof for a while, figure things out, clear my head, I don't know," she said disappearing and climbing up on the roof. Blaize decided he was going to Diagon Alley for a few things.
Ginny decided that the worst she could do was sit on the sidelines and watch everything fall down, so she climbed down from the roof, put on her coat, and was prepared to go see Harry. Harry, at that time had been doing better, he was forced into trying to forget about her by his friends convincing. A new person named Julia had joined the Order just before he and the others left school.
Julia walked into the room where Harry was, "Hello Harry." she said smiling, "Sorry you've had awful trouble with that girl."
Harry looked up. "It's alright, bygones are bygones," he said shrugging.
There was a record player going, "This sounds like the music that was played at the last Yule Ball I went to. I missed the dancing." Harry had an idea. We all know he's into trying to make everyone’s dreams come true.
Harry stood up and put his arm out. "May I have this dance?" he asked bowing and then lifting his head up to see if she would say yes.
"You shall." she said taking his arm.
There in the room they started dancing, meanwhile Ginny was on her way over.
The dance ended and there they stared into each other's eyes.
"Julia, you are so beautiful,” he said, getting lost in her eyes.
"I've had my eye on you, too, Harry," she said smiling.
They embraced each other in a kiss in the middle of the room.
Ginny had just entered 12 Grimmauld Place and was searching every room shouting, "Harry! Harry where are you? Harry!"
By this time she reached the top of the stair and was heading toward the room the couple was in. Ginny knew he was in there, but she didn't know about the other girl.
"Harry, I..." she paused as she turned around the corner.
There in the room she saw her lover, soul mate, and best friend kissing another girl. Her heart instantly froze.
