oh, i can't really make a very informed opinion because i have never been to either city, but! i think you should go to prague. small study-abroad programs are definitely better -- i speak from personal experience! -- and you will be less likely to be overwhelmed by swarms of american college students in prague (though there will still be plenty, i'm sure.) also, eastern europe is cool, you are more centrally located, & you can get by not knowing the language (from what i have heard, most everyone in the city speaks at least a little english?)
plus, it's so easy to visit florence from the U.S. not that it's not easy to go to prague, but it's a more common destination.
hi booger, go to prague because then you can visit my homeland of hungary and plus prague is all pink and pink is pretty. ok italy seems alright but prague is exotic...italy is like bahh ho hum...and also, mary mccarty will be in prague in the spring and you can become bff. i just ate a whole bag of jelly beans.
oh, PRAHA!!!!! for sure! it's beautiful, still inexpensive, vibrant, and full of interesting things to do. if you end up going let me know, two of my best friends have lived there and i got the hookup with all the cool nightlife. language i don't really see as an issue, it's easy to learn hello and goodbye and motion your way through things.
i was there in may and all the canola fields (miles and miles) were in bloom one day when my friend and i took the train out to the country and it was amazing. go to prague.
