i understand if you like nader. when i read your initial post i took it as though you are voting for nader. this explanation has clarified things.
in response to the kerry comments, i dont think he's wishy washy. leadership is complex and decisions involve numerous variables which lead people to come to certain conclusions. however, unfortunately these variables are not often accounted for when researching someone's voting record.
I agree about not voting for Nader. I dont think Nader could deal with what's going on right now, for one, and then you basically have 2 types of voters this year: Pro-Bush and Anti-Bush. If the anti-bush people are divided between Kerry and Nader, Bush will win the election. But, it's a personal opinion. Everyone has the right to vote for who they want.
(By the way, I'm mykdeen's girlfriend. I met you once when we were in homewood and you worked at La Quinta and Mike and I got a room there).
Where do you plan to move? I'm leaving the south in May for grad school, but I won't know where until early spring when I receive acceptance/rejection letters!
i am proudly voting for nader. you should ask havent the democrats learned from the last 4 years. maybe if the democrats adopted some more "green" ideas people would vote for them rather than nader. but i refuse to vote for kerry who voted for us to go to war. even if he now claims it was a bad idea. the only dem who seems to have gotten it right was kucinich.
he voted for the war with the belief that iraq held WMD's. i will even admit i put my trust into our intelligence and such leaders as colin powell. kerry has consistently stated that he'd have handled it differently and only if it was necessary. and i believe him. i am not a pacifist, nor an imperialist. regardless of what kerry voted for in the past, it is he that the country has chosen to challenge bush. nader hurts this challenger. and kerry is the person that we need to negotiate, mediate, and manage the issues that we face today. i could go on and on...

it's not herd mentality. it's reality.
