Yes, while I don't like Izzy, I definitely found Mike under-baked, and the whole book was kind of too much shoved in. But Mary Lou!

I've only read one book that's Izzy-centric, and so far I've found him about 70% delightful and 30% awful. (It was the conclusion to his story, and I kind of suspect he's a lot less tolerable in the early sections based on some of the backstory infodumping, alas. I guess I will see when I get there!)
