Hah, yes, to pretty much all of this. I mostly still don't care about Izzy even after reading all of the books (or Jay, sorry!), but I was impressed with what Brockmann did with the other characters in the last few books, and also Lindsey <3 , so despite the many flaws with this book I have on-balance warm feelings toward it.

I think Lindsey is my favorite of the action heroines. She's just so much fun.

(I would never expect anyone else to care about Jay. My love for him is completely disproportionate to his actual presence in the series.)

I just got the _Way of the Warrior_ anthology from the library and Jay is a POV character in the way that SB does when she's gearing a character up for a lead role, FYI.

YESSSSS. I know there's supposed to be at least one more short story (though from the very vague summary it seems like it's another about Izzy) and I hope she does SOMETHING with him. There's also a spinoff series with at least one book (which I haven't read yet) so maybe there? Or something?

Fair! He's a really specific character type and definitely not everyone's jam.
