Danny shifts back to his own side of the car after a few more minutes of sloppy kisses and Steve mumbling along with the song right against Danny's mouth. He stretches out the kinks in his back - that steering wheel is a bitch - and finds napkins to clean them up.

"I can give a better performance," Steve tells him, as he pulls back onto the road and heads towards his house. "I hope you can too."

"Hey, hey, my performance is brilliant, what is this blasphemy? I hope you aren't complaining about how I perform, McGarrett, because there will be consequences."

"At least until I bring out the eyeliner, right?"

Danny looks over to see Steve's smirk out in full force, competing with the fondness in his eyes.

"I believe they call it guyliner now, keep up."

He also had nose and eyebrow piercings. Makes me wonder if he had/has a Prince Albert or other genital piercing too, since he was so into piercings.

Chin's got such a laid-back vibe, he strikes me as a bass player. Kono could be drums, or she could be second guitar -- she and Steve egg each other on to more wild, over-the-top riffs -- while Danny does percussion, just layin' down the beat, keeping everyone in line.

I have done nothing for a week but think about this. I originally thought of Chin as the drummer because the visual just killed me - I have a drummer kink and Chin all sweaty is nice.

But the more I thought about it - the more I thought - "Danny would make a great drummer. Chin could be the bass player, cuz he keeps them all on track. Steve would be lead singer - because he's the leader." Steve - guitar too? Kono on guitar too?

I need more time to write. I have a full formed idea - but RL is killing me right now.

I want this Rockstar!AU. Dammit.
