The Tax Man

So, as I anticipated, I got two letters in the mail (one state and one federal) 
filling me in to my much anticipated garnishment of tax refunds.
Now, despite the fact that I knew this was coming, it is still a disappointment.
I am sorrowfully broke at the moment and could have really used $900.

Heh. Did I ask you that when I visited, and you were all pessimistic and "technically, no, there's nothing saying anything good HAS to happen" blah blah.

I'm hurting just as much as you right now.

I'm thinking of taking a certain amount of money (starting with $20 and seeing how it goes) from every paycheck and putting that in an envelope. Since I'm paid weekly you figure that's 80-100 bucks a month saved. If you're looking to save more, try doing 30-40 a week instead of 20 and see how that works for you. If it's out of your main bank account and your wallet you won't be able to easily spend it and the temptation will be less.
