Oh Christ O.O I really hope this is all bullshit procedure stuff they have to do just to cover their asses and you'll be back to work in no time. What a mess :( *hugs*
I think everything will be ok, especially since, like you said, you were honest about it. Plus you didnt realize that you were doing anything wrong. I dont think that you should feel like you screwed up, if you had taken it knowing it could put your job in jeoperdy that would be one thing but you didnt know. I hope that everything works out for the best.
Thanks. I honestly didn't remember the 4 hour rule and I take xanax regularly for since, jeez, over a year now. It does not impair me so I thought nothing of it.
Places of employment need to realize that those who take those kinds of prescriptions on a regular basis build up somewhat of an immunity to it.
For example; my mother has Multiple Sclerosis and there are times where the only reason she can get to work is because of the pain meds. Not everyone who takes that kind of stuff is a junkie.
Exactly what you said. Tolerance is the key here. It works for me, but it doesn't do anything funky to me. And I think it's worse that they crack down on it because I'm in nursing. :/
