I know exactly how you feel. I was miserable before I got my car, and for some reason people just dont understand that michigan doesnt provide the best public transportation. It puts so much stress on you having to worry about how you're going to get home or to work or wherever. You have no real freedom. But, once you do get a car, believe me you will absolutely love it. Not just the car but simply being able to leave, be alone and drive somewhere.
yea, something I want very much right now. How the fuck are we called the motor city and people can barely get where they need to get? Chicago and other states have a better transit system then we do.
Sorry about your car situation. It must suck not having a car. I hate driving and when I was younger, didn't care whether or not I had a car. Fortunately my parents got tired of driving me everywhere and went ahead and bought me one. I'm sure if you save your money and get a loan or something, you should be able to get whatever you want.
My parents are tired of driving me everywhere, and breaking their schdule, and moving time around for me. But they still don't get me a car, but I cant' stop having a life because of them.
For those who don't live in Michigan, it's not a state where you can just randomly wave your hand and say Taxi in any city, you have to actually call a taxi inorder to get picked and taken anywhere.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm so sick of relying on the bus, even though having a car in Santa Cruz isn't really that practical. But grr. I need to get my license and then worry about getting a car. The worst for me is sitting next to smelly hippies on the bus. Must have car...;-) *hugs*
