( The post starts with a not-all-that-quiet laugh, like someone is trying to hold themselves back and really failing quite thoroughly. A moment later, the mirror reveals Jules and Gabrielle. The prior is leaning a bit gracelessly against the bar, chin propped up on her hand as she grins. She doesn’t seem to be paying attention to the mirror right

But then...] Hey now. I'd make one hell of a cocktail.

( Aha, ha. Hopefully nothing Gabrielle said was offensive, because Fang sounded rather... bold. Bold in the sense of being alarming, potentially. ) You have a very distinct name. Very memorable, actually.

It'll probably be hilarious.] And what about you? What do you call yourself?

I'm Jules! Jules Grumley, actually, it's very nice to meet you. ( Oh, she would... offer her hand to shake, but hi, vine. )

[a pause. How to go about this trolling...] So, I'd wager you're awfully blitzed, but isn't this a bit rude? You're gonna hurt my feelings.

Her eyebrows raise a bit, she's biting the inside of her cheek, just lightly. ) Rude? ( Oh... dear. ) No no, but it was just all in fun, you know? Lighthearted?
( A hopeful smile. Oh God, she's offended an Australian called Fang. Help her. )

I really am very sorry. No offense meant, and all that. ( Sob, wilting a bit and just going to sip some of her wine. Insults are easier to ignore and/or take as a positive than being told she's hurting peoples feelings, baawwww. )

[a cheeky grin.] Do I look like the sort that's gonna run home crying at something like this?

( Hmm, faux-serious considering, tapping her chin. . . ) Well, you never know. Once a friend of mine cried because we ran out of instant coffee. That was in the middle of our A-levels, mind, so she was rather stressed, you know? Not that it's especially relevant, of course, but people can get upset by really minor things, and as I don't know you it seemed a very real possibility at the time.
( She's just going to drink some more of her wine, now. )

Crying over coffee, huh. [It's not something they had much in Gran Pulse, but she recalls it being a regular sort of thing in Cocoon.] Sounds...[silly...] odd. I've usually got a bit more to worry about.

Well, she never usually cries over anything, you know? That's what made it so very strange. ( Very strange, really. India didn't even cry at her grandmother's funeral, so far as Jules could recall, and she adored her. ) Exams really do just seem to make people quite spectacularly stressed, though. Did you ever find that?
( Ah, hmm. Hmm. She smiles a bit. ) Waking up in a garden run by a strange queen, for example?

I've seen those types. [Headtilting at the exam bit. That's another Cocoon sort of thing - not that they didn't have them in Gran Pulse, but Fang never cared much for school, certainly never worried about tests. Eventually it didn't matter much at all.] I've seen people get riled up over the smallest things. It usually means they've got something else going on, though.
More or less. But I had plenty on my plate at home too. This is almost a vacation, if you can believe that.

Mm, I imagine that's true. Although if running out of coffee really were the most upsetting possibility in life, I imagine everything would be very simple and easy to manage. ( Ah, if only. Even so sheltered as this one, she's sadly aware that isn't the case.
That rather catches her interest, although she just tilts her head slightly. ) Then it must be rather refreshing, correct? In it's own way? I think there's something rather exciting about all this, I have to say.
( Tralalala rose-coloured glasses. )

[She kind of listens for a moment, amused, nodding her head.] Refreshing's not the word I'd use for it. Maybe "interesting." It's not all sunshine and rainbows here.

( Ah, a little nod, and she's resting her chin on her hands. ) Interesting works very well. Robots is certainly rather a turn from the norm, at any rate.
