So, it's probably fairly obvious that the current predicament is connected to the flowers. I know some of you are tearing them up, but I don't really see why we should be aiding our captors in maintaining our prison.

Why not let them grow and see what happens?

I wonder if it happens a lot. It seems they lost control of themselves before, when they sent everyone off hunting for whatever the Queen broke.

Well, since I've been here, all sorts of odd things have happened, and no one ever tells us why. She broke something? I must've missed that.

These odd phantoms appeared, acting like people at home, but cruel. Everyone went off to find whatever the queen had broken.

I'm wondering, now, if I shouldn't have hidden one of them somewhere.

That might've made things turn out worse. [She's been thinking about this sort of thing, since her conversation with Mami.] If she couldn't find what she lost, I mean. She could've punished everyone for it.
