[Bonnibel had been walking for some time now. The sun was high and warm in the sky when she had started out, and now it had just slipped past the horizon. Her legs and feet were sore hours ago, and now she was also starting to get hungry ( Read more... )

(OOC: Eep, sorry if my post was unclear in anyway! The only things contained in the first bundle are Fionna's clothes and the food items. The duffel bag only has camping supplies. I figured it would be twinkish and easy if I found all the missing items for us on the first try. Bonni's stuff is still with Marceline who is just now getting back. Again, sorry for any confusion!⦅ What a haul! Marceline is feeling much better about herself, albeit not the situation herself, thanks to the success of her hunting trip. For some reason she has no doubts that the birds will serve their function, that Fionna and Bonni are a bit better off at camp. Speaking, or better yet thinking, of them she wonders just what they've been talking about since she's be gone? Then again, Marceline doesn't know Bonni to be the gossiping type. Well, at least not toward her or the dudes. With Lady Rainicorn all bets were off due to their being able to gab in Korean. Honestly, Marceline kind of envies that. It must be stupid fun, like a code language, used only ( ... )

[When Fionna slipped the skort and the knee highs on, and exclaimed how much better she felt, Bonni gave her the warmest, most sincere smile she had given yet since falling into this place. But still she had to bear some bad news.]

"Oh Fionna, I'm sorry but there wasn't anything else other than your clothes and some food in that one. We'll start looking for your sword and--- Eaack!"

["Glad to hear it!"[Bonnibel jumped a little at the sound of Marceline's voice, having not even noticed her footsteps or her whistling. Even though Marceline had that usual nonchalant, almost aloof look, Bonni could still see the little bits of a grin at the corners of her mouth. Running up to Marceline, and closing a small bit of the distance with a little tiny jump, she wrapped her arms around the cold, cold girl, giving her the hug that she had so cowardly avoided before ( ... )

Fionna, of course, was going to shrug off the cold in this instance: she had, after all, been in the Ice Queen's neck of the woods plenty of times, and as far as changing, she was as blunt as Finn there, more so since they were both girls. It did, however, register to her that she was missing a part of herself, and that made for a rather crestfallen hero ( ... )

⦅It was just like Marceline to show up when she was least expected, wasn't it? It was just one of the many traits that could be called endearing and annoying. Had it been any other day or any other situation Bonnibel would have called her on it, pointed out how uncalled for it was for Marceline to sneak around. Yeah, she was smiling so hard that her face had started hurting, she would enjoy the freedom and lack of fighting while it lasted ( ... )

◤Bonni hadn't protested in the least when Marceline had run her hands along her back to try and warm her up. Even if Marceline didn't exactly produce body heat in the same way that the "living" did, it was still comforting. It reminded her of when she was little and would fall asleep clinging to Lady's mane.

And this time she wasn't even going to let herself get gloomy thinking about her best friend back in Ooo. They were going home, and she was going to see Lady, and everyone else again. And even if she herself didn't make it, she already had two gambits she could pull to send just Marceline and Fionna back to their respective homes. Even if she didn't make it back she knew Marceline could find a proxy for the kingdom, or rule it herself.

She sighed a little, resigning to not think too much about the worst case scenarios that had been running through her head this whole time, and let herself enjoy being held by Marceline. Then, with a start, she caught herself. Enjoy being held by Marceline?! What the plum!? Now that was weird, ( ... )

◤Finishing up her ensemble PB slid her crown onto her forehead, pushing aside the locks of gum-hair that hadn't gotten too brittle in the cold. Then she groaned, noticing that her hair was a little uneven, and remembering why. She wished then that she hadn't recanted all of the times she called Marceline a butt, because well, she still was one for not telling her about the apples. She thought they were in some dire straights, but oh no, there was a whole swatch of red sitting right above them, ready to make fun of her by being tasty, and being red, and being apples. Oh well, once her hair had warmed up a little she could reshape it ( ... )

Toes poked as close to the fire as she could get them without burning them clean off, Marceline sat reclined as she tugged the flaps and folds into something that was taking some doing to make look (let alone function) like a tent while tuning into what both Princess Bubblegum and Fionna were laying down. While they knew more about the Garden and what it had to offer than when they'd first arrived, there were still gigantic holes to be mindful of. This sure wasn't any birds and the bees sort of talk! It was about the birds, foxes and cats--supremely messed the clam up ( ... )

On kitchen duty she sat next to Fionna, clawing apples into slices and vegetables into chunks. With something to put her all into she figured that her mind would do her a huge favor and not wander! As the cutting and chopping became more of an automatic process she waltzed right into failure, her gaze drifting right to where it shouldn't--to Princess Bubblegum! Given their usual kicking and screaming she rarely had the chance to see Bonni for Bonni, in the most literal of senses. Crown and being a brainlord aside she was still..a woman. What the drizz?! Stop being a dumbhole Marceline! She tore her eyes off of the Princess and looked to Fionna. Her thoughts were still very much against her. Her thoughts? About how both Fionna and Bubblegum have red in them and yet the red showed differently. In the Princess it served to make her a vibrant pink, surreal nearly. Even though she was made out of gum she managed to look supple and fleshy. Fionna, on the other hand, her skin was a shade of pink that Marceline couldn't describe. Sure! ( ... )

In the middle of changing Bonnibel had noticed Marceline's gaze for a brief second. She knew that she'd been seen, but she had just turned her head away, finished up like normal, and hadn't said anything. It wasn't a big deal right? It wasn't supposed to be a big deal and it wasn't going to be a big deal. Even now, sitting down getting ready to help with the cooking she kept repeating that in her mind, hoping it would do something good for her eventually.

"Wait, cat guys? My father used to tell me horror bedtime stories about an awful cat that had an 'approximate knowledge of everything' down in a dungeon near the kingdom. So the ones here aren't like that junk, and junk?"

That's right, Cake was a cat too wasn't she? Maybe they weren't all as strange and horrifying as that thing that had given her nightmares as a child. In truth she'd seen a cat, or a cat like thing, or something when she arrived, but had run away from it as quickly as she could. And Now she was starting to feel a little foolish for that ( ... )

Right then PB decided to quit getting so caught up in worrying about stuff and just do this junk. She graduated magna gum laude in glycomics with a minor in advanced princessonomy, of course she could figure out how to scale a lousy glob damned super stupid fish!

The poor fish then became the recipient of a lot of pent up emotion when Peebles got a hold of it. A stick was cleaned off, thrust in the fire quickly, and then furiously rubbed against the grain of the scales, prying them all off after just a few passes. Of course she aimed it so they would fall away from the fire and the cooking area.

And then PB gleefully skewered the fish with that very same stick, and presented it to Fionna and Marceline.

"There, that'll teach you to have scales you butt fish! Is this up to food safety standards Ms.Chef, and Ms.Sous Chef?"

Fionna had to admit that these girls were, by far, a lot more fun ins some ways than Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee. There was no real comparison, and the latter would always ALWAYS be her bros, but watching these two and the way they seemed to be like a comedy act against each other cracked her up! It was a lot like remembering how she and Cake were though: how Cake would always do some crazy thing and Fionna would have to wrap her head around it, or how she would give Fionna some crazy advice that would end up backfiring somehow and making Fionna work extra hard to fix it! But it was fun, all of it, just like the two were now, making her laugh ( ... )

Fionna was finally opening up about Cake and Marceline was going to listen. They were all missing great big chunks of themselves. And like a knight, maybe even like Billy himself, Fionna had so far been nothing but encouraging and positive. You could say that it was human to hide the pain. But then again a human, a candy Princess and a Vampire Queen were all feeling the same emptiness of loss. Gnawing her bottom lip Marceline held back the question that was on the tip of her tongue.

"Yeah, who knew that a Princess could show a fish what's what like that!?"

And then it showed, through the tiniest of cracks in the surface: Fionna was worried. Not giving it another thought Marceline reached out, planting a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"I'd hope that they're like you, Fionna. For honest and for true."

She looked to PB, totes seeking back up.

"Right Bonni?"

Prince Bartley Bubblegum twirled his mustache, and then made some silly, foppish flourishing hand motions that Princess Bubblegum probably thought princes made.
"Although your argument is based upon sound logic, I Bartley Bubblegum take offense, you rapscallion! You scoundrel! You rapscoundrel!" She said rolling her Rs dramatically. "I shall dispatch a team of researchers at once to disprove the very notion that it takes one to know one! But first, I accept your challenge! Fionnaghal the golden haired shall indeed bear witness to our duel. En Garde ( ... )
