Frying pan > fire. My days are numbered. I have basically one person on my side with old boss leaving. If he can't help I'm done. On the plus side hub is fully supporting a change. Part time, school, housewifery.
It would be nice if things changed but I have lost faith that it can long term. I loved this job.

Scrambling to get 5279 things done. Someone walks in "can the system get xyz data". Maybe depending on reliability of data entry ... So happy that most plants survived the tree removal and winter. Put in some pansies and ranunculus for immediate color. Started veggie seeds in several spots and pruned back the canes. Moved a champagne grapevine that did nothing all last year. It's still green inside so there's hope. Hub cleaned out garage to make room for cement mixer due ( Read more... )

Crazy busy weekend. No recovery time after last week's madness. Couldn't walk 200 feet to ladies room today without being flagged by 5 different people needing something. Only made 5 minutes on the elliptical.

So despite many cards stacked against us; it's going very well. End of day 1 was punctuated by an SUV crashing into the directors office(he's miraculously fine). After that, everything else seems like a cake walk.
I'm exhausted but in a job well done way.

Moving offices. I only have one box because "it's all in my brain". I said that to someone who was annoying me and I needed to be a bit obnoxious. My new desk is hopefully quiet and work-productivity boosting. Today person getting my old desk wanted to move in while I was using it. The combo elliptical/recumbent bike arrived and hub was very nice and put it all together by the time I got home and drove offspring #1 to work and picked up offspring #2 from after school. It's smooth and quiet and just what I needed. I can quit the gym and already quit weight watchers. Now if I could get sweet and salty foods out of my thoughts ( Read more... )
