when I turn jet black and you show off your light

Aug 23, 2011 02:00

Characters: Mami & Homura
Date: A few days after the dream event ends.
Summary: An accidental meet-up in the Orchard leads to a (probably super awkward) discussion about the experiences of the past week.
Warnings: Madoka Magica spoilers.

[It's peaceful in this empty part of the Orchard. Mami's glad she decided to come this way; she's all by herself, yes, but in this that was precisely her plan.

Normally she dislikes silence- hates the lonely and oppressive feeling that comes with it. Yet now that very thing is almost a comfort here, smoothing out the wearily anxious grooves in her waking conscious. There's no one around to keep up a facade for, not yet. For the moment, there's no risk of running into those whose dreams she accidentially invaded. She's alone...but she can convince herself that she's safe.

Mami plucks a hanging apple from a tree, red and full and sweet, taking a reflective bite as she settles down against the trunk. That was an awful dream she dreamed, to say nothing of what she saw within the psyches of maybe half a dozen people. Mami would like to forget it all, but so far that's proving to be impossible; the memories linger in her mind, impressed there by some painful force.]
