Gal had gotten the invitation to the Queen's party, but she wasn't about to snub Akiha for that, especially when anything the Queen did tended to have side effects. Staying at the mansion was safer overall. Unfortunately for her, she mistook the ball dress for something either one of the maids or Akiha herself had left for her, and felt that she could hardly refuse it. Even if it was far too pink. And far too short.

She'd been able to ditch the Fabre maid uniform when her charge had gotten old enough to give her permission to wear what she wanted, and any sort of skirt had gone with it. It just wasn't practical for a swordswoman. So when she heads downstairs, she's tugging at the skirt self-consciously, wishing it covered a lot more.

That lurid color of pink easily drew Akiha's eye given how much it clashed with the decor. Or reality as it was. Gal would find herself fairly overdressed given Akiha was only wearing a crisp and pressed dark pleated skirt that fell to mid-calf and a light colored blouse. Her eyes widened slightly as she saw who was actually wearing that pink monstrosity.

For a moment, she seriously considered demanding Gal change, but... she'd allow her servant some freedom. If she wanted to look like a tacky carnation, Akiha would let her reap what she sowed. Still, she couldn't let it go without comment.

"If you keep tugging on that, you're only going to end up making it even shorter."
