A Reclining Queen - Relaxation

The threats had finally been put to rest and the hive had moved to a safer location. The queen lay in the hive’s inner chambers exhausted from both work and war. She curled her huge bulk up near the center of her clutch of eggs. AWWWW!!! this is so cute it reminds me of my parents cat's (mother and son) they used to play fight with each other all the time!

Draco studies the Queen, intensely curious, even awed. In all his long years he's never encountered anything like her. But he's also more than a little wary. She doesn't smell like any animal he knows of, and while he's a match for her in terms of size, he has no idea what her nature is or how hostile she might be. So he keeps a respectful distance for the moment, watching...

The queen had not been asleep long when she caught the scent of something she didn't recognize. She didn't move but allowed her senses to wander. It was warm blooded and HUGE! The sense of the visitors size startles her and she bounds to her feet sending all the young scurrying farther into the hive for safety.

She hisses more from surprise then hostility. Crouching she approaches cautiously not willing to get to close. She could smell the residual scent of fire and that caused her to bristle with fear. Was this some new weapon? No weapon lives. She couldn't quite comprehend the creature before her and so she stood at some distance observing its great bulk.
