His power is growing. If this keeps up, his army of ghosts will be unstoppable, and I will lack the strength to oppose him.

If only I had struck before he had gotten too much momentum, I could have done something. Now...

I may have to fight this one alone, who would ally themselves with a creature like

I'd consider a monster as somebody that kills for no reason, or somebody who doesn't care who they hurt as long as they get what they want. So if that person is a true monster by that definition, then... I don't think I could.

If you mean a monster only by appearance, then... it really just depends on what the person is actually like.
