Well I'm sure everyone has heard the story of Terri Schiavo. If you haven't then you live a really sheltered life. Anyways, as I'm sure you know she passed away this morning around 9:30. I was not only upset by this but also outraged. They successfully starved a woman to death. I can't believe that heartless bastard let her die like that. Mel

ok when i took my mom to buffalo we had a discussion about this. terri has been nothing more than a vegitable for the past few years now. experts agreed that she is not going to ever get any better. as cold and heartless as it seems, if i was in her shoes, id hope they didnt keep me a live that long. the sad thing is this happens every day. somehow this case jsut happened to get blown out of proportion and the media then got involved, my mom knew someone who was in the same condition. i dunno where im going with this, but we dont know terri's side of the story. we dotn know if her and her husband had ever had conversations about this kind of stuff, but there are a lot of things a spouse will tell their partner that they dont tell his/her parents. for all we know that could have been all she wanted in the first place is to pass on and some dr was like hey, we can keep her on a feeding tube for the next umteen years. she'll be alive, and it'll cost you ass loads of money, but hey she'll be a living vegitable.
