You lot obviously think Kwikfit are a lot better than I do, or maybe I am just used to living in Sueyworld where things are never ever simple ( Read more... )

So, it was option 3 then? I could believe they didn't hold a tyre for a Smart in stock, my problem was the '195 is as big as we go' bit, 'cos nowadays that's pretty tiny for a car tyre...

Naturally I know hedgepigs are great (after all we live with one!) but next to poisonious egg laying mammals?

IN Sueyworld nothing is ever simple!

Naturally. :-)

See, part of the problem is you went to KwikFit rather than getting 'blokey' about it. Mel goes to our local tyre place (which I bet could have sorted you out that day if not straight away!) and knows the people there better than I do!

And I shall be crossing all those people who voted Platypus off my Christmas Card list. You bloody philistines.

Ooo! Sounds like someone's got a new handbag to match her new hat! ;-)

I went for the "were you driving a tank" option, because it sounded like garage mechanic sarcasm.

I hate not having a penis sometimes, I think I should carry one around in a jar to wave at Garage mechanics and suchlike.

He and came and looked at my tyre and told me it wasn't too dire just yet, but not to push it above 70 on the motorway.

As if I would EVER go above 70!

I'm assuming you've not sprogged yet BTW?

You assume quite correctly. Sprog is now a week late, and may well still arrive on my birthday, as I predicted all along. She Who Must says it won't, as she tends to go in for labours in the 36 hour region, but I am not convinced.

I will do an LJ post when the wee, sleekit cowrin' timrous beastie makes an appearance, and probably also slip an email to one or two mailing lists, and perhaps put one at Silly Mid Off to cover any close catching opportunities.

Hmmm, that last bit didn't make much sense, even to me.

Well that will make a cheaper Christmas card list as more people voted for the Platypus and who wouldn't for such a great and cute creature.

I wouldn't call them philistines - misguided and perhaps seriously mentally ill, but not philistines.

Ooooh are we a ship crew and if so what's he taken?

I don't want to be a companion or teh doctor. I want the Zoc character or a pilot ideally.
