If he asks, you should totally go on a date with him (but keep it casual)! It's not leading him on... That's how you'll find out if you're really interested or not. And if it's not your thing, it's not a big deal to "end things" after one date. If he's cool, he wouldn't let something like that affect things in your film classes. He'd understand the concept of dating and that sometimes people are better off friends...

Either way, go on a date. It'd be a free dinner!!! lol
