Yeah....you're right! I've read about 2-3 books on farm girls and they're all depressing. How interesting. Perhaps I should write about the adventures of a happy farm girl who isn't poor, whose father doesn't become crushed and maimed by a tree, whose farm isn't destroyed by the neighborhood punks, and whose horse isn't killed.
and no, I haven't read Tess of the D'Ubervilles. It sounds interesting.
Haha, Sarah, 90% of the music I "listen to" is in my head. Does that happen to you, too?
Tess of the D'Ubervilles is a different kind of depressing... At the end (in fact, the whole way through, but especially at the end) you're just like, "Wow. How screwed up is that." Depressing in a whole new way. I don't agree with a lot of it, but some of it is just so darn... I dunno. The funny thing is that one of the most important events in the whole book is never actually stated... just implied.
Yes, I listen to music in my head all the time. :)
I think I liked the original three better than these recent ones. ^-^ I need to rewatch them. Maybe I should do them in order. Y'know, 1-6 as opposed to 4-6, 1-3. -shrugs-
