I agree with Karen.

I mean... he'd have 18/00 strength, and he'd blind people and stuff. How cool is that?

Have you READ the Odyssey? Not exactly a fortuitous name. Come to think of it, I don't think there's anyone in classical world I'd want to name my kid after! Not worth the risk, I mean, we've got screws his mom, eats his kids, pursued through life by vengeful gods. And that's just the men. If you were a woman, you got raped by Zeus (or at least by somebody). And if you managed to get away, the best you could hope for was to turn into a tree.

Nah, too dangerous. Think I'll name my kid Turin instead.

Yes I have read it; it is actually one of my faves.

I love Odysius! He rocks my sox!

And naming your children after Tolkien characters is WAY too nerdy and pathetic.

I would love to name a daughter Athena. Thought for normalcy I may have to go with thr Roman minerva.

Heh! For the latter you could live in the Harry Potter world and for the former in the Battlestar Galactica world and then no one would find that odd at all!

Hey, on a completely unrelated note, send me your address.
