Yeah, it was a DAY. Dian never called in, never emailed, and never showed up. We couldn't reach her at her home or cell. Just after lunchtime, Erin was walking out the door to drive to her house to make sure she wasn't hurt or something when she finally called in, all spacey and la-de-da, saying "Did you get my email I sent last night? I had some trouble sending it!" Apparently she had tried emailing the night before but it kept bouncing back to her - but for some reason, that was no signal that she should *call* either of the 2 labs she works in and speak to a human or leave a voicemail. So nobody got this alleged email that she sent, and Michelle, her other supervisor, was on the phone with her for probably 15 minutes explaining why you just have to call, period, end of story, that's the rule and everybody has to do it. She's been really spacy lately and taking a lot of time off and not good for much when she is in, and so yesterday was just one more day when I had to do all of my work and all of hers - and I didn't find out

I'm not a domineering bitch, I swear, I just need people to keep a level head MOST of the time.
I totally understand. And it's not really too much to ask of people.
My work may have its own share of problems, but there are many times when I'm thankful I don't have a lot of contact with my co-workers.
