EXTENDED APPLICATION
Personality: Savannah is, in a word, SPOILED. She's the only child of very wealthy parents and she's quite used to getting her way. No is not a word this girl is used to hearing at all and when she does hear it, the results usually are not pretty. On the surface, she appears superficial and materialistic and for the most part she really does care about these things. She's friendly to those she deems worthy but quickly turns on those who either do not worship her as she deserves or seem to be "inferior" to her in some way. As far as Savannah is concerned, this includes most people, because she very much takes things like money and status in society as signs of worth. She has little to no tolerance for those who lack class or wealth.
To those who are in her league, though, Savannah is warm and friendly. She'll gladly make anyone pay who crosses someone she cares about, especially since while she had a number of friends, especially in the Muggle world she left to come to Hogwarts, she is truly close to very few people.
Of course, coming to Hogwarts was a rude awakening for Savannah. Most of the people she views as her equal look down upon her because of her less than pure blood. She has also found that some look down on her because she is rich. (How hypocritical when some of them are rich themselves.) It's been an adjustment for her, finding people who didn't like her for something she can't control. If she was any other girl, she may have taken this to heart and stopped judging people as harshly as she does. As it is, however, she views those who do not accept her as very stupid (cause she's clearly perfect) and she makes a hidden though conscious effort to stick with the few worthy
people who do know an accept her. On that same note, she can not always be with Bryant or the few others she considers friends because occasionally they like to have lives of their own. This is when Savannah would turn to her studies (and she has to do this quite a lot... silly Bryant having a girlfriend) and pretend that it is her choice to not be involved with this or that activity.
No one would know this, but it does truly bother Savannah to not be welcomed with open arms. She is used to being the only one who dishes out hate and sarcasm. Though, she wont back down from someone telling her she is less than perfect, she does occasionally wonder if they could be telling the truth.
Savannah is determined to succeed and maintain her lifestyle and to that end she is very hardworking. Her ambition might have landed her in Slytherin, but her good friend Bryant had already filled her head with whisperings of what
an evil place they were (and it would be odd for someone raised as a Muggle to end up there anyway) and she begged the sorting hat to place her elsewhere.
Strengths: Both magical and personality: Savannah is confident, if nothing else. She knows what she wants and she isn't afraid to go after it or work at getting it. She's loyal and protective when it comes to the people she cares about. While many of her friendships are superficial, the people she is emotionally attached to get her undying loyalty and she would do pretty much anything for them.
Magically, Savannah is a gifted young witch, which came as a surprise since her mother was never very good at it. Her best classes are Transfiguration (which she has a natural knack for) and History of Magic. These are also her
favorite classes, partly because they come easily and partly because the subject matter intrigues her.
Being the only daughter of a college professor has not left Savannah without a good set of study skills, so classes which require a lot of reading and book-learning come easily to her. She also does fairly well in Charms and Astrology, though she has to study a bit more to maintain good marks there.
Weaknesses: Both magical and personality: Savannah's conceit and spoiled nature can get her into
trouble, because she's not used to taking no for an answer. Sometimes her overconfidence results in her misreading a situation and she can end up getting hurt because of it. She's also gotten the occasional bad mark when she felt too confident in her abilities and didn't study enough before an exam.
Savannah's snobbery towards those of less affluent backgrounds has probably cost her what could have been some very good friends, not that she actually cares about that, but god help her if she ever loses all that family money and has to become one of those people she so despises now.
Potions is the absolute bane of Savannah's magical existence. She's tried and tried to understand it, but she just can't seem to grasp it. Something about needing to be patient and precise, neither of which are things that Savannah is very good at. She did use it as an excuse to get closer to an upper year boy she fancied who was good in the subject a few weeks before OWLs, but that's really the only good the subject has ever done her.
Fears: Becoming poor. No, seriously. The idea of ever losing her family's money and having to do without her numerous material possessions terrifies the living daylights out of Savannah. She likes her spoiled princess lifestyle and she'll do anything to keep it.

Savannah never knew, growing up, that her mother was a witch, because the woman had given up her magical lifestyle to be with Savannah's father. It seemed safer, somehow, to live in the Muggle world than to be a Muggleborn in the wizarding world and, well, her life as the wife to a wealthy professor was definitely worth giving up magic for in her eyes. She'd never been very good at it anyway and was mildly surprised when Savannah turned out to be not only magical, but fairly gifted with wandwork, too.
Savannah's parents spoiled her pretty well rotten. Their careers keep them both busy and they've made up for it buy giving her every gift money could buy - and extensive wardrobe of designer clothing, the best and most expensive of everything she needed for school, her own horse at their estate - basically anything Savannah has ever hinted at wanting, she's been given.
Savannah has many social acquaintances at home and they don't know about her magical side. They only know she is away at boarding school for much of the year and think nothing of it during their summers together, because she is gifted at weaving tales of a normal boarding school life for them.
At Hogwarts, Savannah is happy to be friends with those who seem to come from similar monetary backgrounds, though she looks down her nose at everyone else. Her best friend from home is also at Hogwarts and while they briefly dated for a time, they are now just good friends (though Savannah might just want a bit more from him, but he is oblivious to this fact).
