If you would like to sell this book to schools, libraries, etc. you should try to find a children's book agent. It's a longer process, but it lends itself to a wider market and you won't have to do any of the business administration.

First of all, congrats on finishing.
I love that you don't wait for permission to do what you love
what you feel passionate about

I dont have any specific info
but I plan to looking into self-publishing this year too.
I'll let you know what I come up with.

WELL DONE!

Go to the library or bookstore and look through the Writer's Market. There is also a Children's Writer's Market and one listing Literay Agents.

The book also includes the info for you on books sold specifically for schools, etc.

If you self publish, be careful. Often, you will have to sign lengthy contracts. During that time you are stuck. You couldn't even change the book name and try with a different publisher. BE CAREFUL

I agree with shadownyc....if your book is good...and there is probably a niche for your work....an agent would help. Many publishers won't look anymore without an agent.

Thanks, I'm gonna head off to the bookstore shortly just to take a look. I'm pretty sure there's a niche for this book, since I wrote it precisely because I couldn't find anything like it and I needed it! LOL. If I decide self-publishing is the way to go, I'll make sure I read everything carefully and understand it before I sign anything. Thanks again!
