[For Roger and Mark]

Jul 02, 2008 22:31

Brian was lying on a towel on the beach in only a speedo (and his bracelet), letting the warm sun dry his skin from the swim he'd just taken. He went for a swim nearly every day at this time, so it wasn't like there was anything out of the ordinary about it. He wasn't waiting for Roger at all, just enjoying the sun, smoking a joint--and keeping one ( Read more... )

The guilt only really set in when he broke plans with Prior to be with Brian. Well, that wasn't entirely true. That was the only time the guilt set in while in Brian's presence. In front of Prior, the guilt was like a nine iron to the gonads 24/7. This, of course, was his piss-poor reasoning for seeing Prior less and less. It was so much easier than telling the truth.

People knew Brian and Roger were friends, so it wasn't so weird that they'd meet up for a swim, right? That was Roger's reasoning, at least, when he donned his black-and-silver trunks, shoved his sunglasses on his face and swaggered down to the beach. It was hot, it was bright, and he was going to meet what basically amounted to his mistress. Just an ordinary day in the life of a cheating asshole.

Brian spotted him finally and let his eyes drift closed, a faint smile playing over his lips as he simply waited, letting Roger come to him. He wasn't about to show how much he'd been thinking about Roger--well, most of him wasn't about to show. Speedos didn't really hide much, and Brian didn't really care if they didn't.

The few extra feet between their eye contact and being close enough to touch was closed silently, and once Roger finally made it, he ran a hand through his hair (a cursory check to make sure there was no bird shit or gathering of sand).

"Hi," he greeted, slightly breathless. "There was a... Christ, I don't know what it was, but it chased me halfway down the fucking path. I thought for sure I was gonna--" And then Roger caught sight of the Speedos and the... underneath the Speedos. "Oh. Hi." He grinned and crouched down to kiss Brian.

Brian had cracked one eye open again as Roger's shadow fell across him, squinting up at him with a faintly amused look as Roger rambled breathlessly. "Hi," he purred when Roger finally noticed the important things, slipping his arm around Roger's neck as he returned the kiss with a soft moan. Yeah, he hadn't been waiting for Roger, but he was pretty pleased that he was here. And not just in his Speedos.
