Michael looked up when he heard someone at the door, but it turned to a glare when he saw who it was. "It's his room too. He can stay if he wants." He replied flatly, the normal pang he felt when he usually saw Brian only causing to upset him farther.
"No. He can't," Brian responded immediately. He took a few steps toward Mikey and then turned to regard Enjolras with an impatient glare.
Enjolras sighed and closed his book, getting to his feet. If he were fighting with Combeferre he would want privacy, he knew. He would likely be as blunt about requesting it, too.
Michael just kept glaring at Brian. "Enjolras," he said to his roommate. "You really don't have to go. Brian was just leaving." He hoped the Frenchmen stuck around, if only to help him kick Brian out if he didn't go.
Enjolras looked from Michael to Brian and back, then shook his head. I will not interfere between friends," he murmured in French, then nodded to Brian. "Monsieur." And with that he left the room.
