Financing Top Surgery....

I would like to consider top surgery or a breast reduction at some point. Approx. how much does this cost and how have some of you managed to finance such a surgery? This is a major obstacle for me, so I'd be interested in how others have over come this hurdle.

Most of the people I've known have paid somewhere between $6.5k and $8k. Personally, I paid about $7.5k.

- on the off chance you live in the bay area- UCSF has a program in which 4th year residents (i think i have that right) do breast reduction surgery. i paid for my ex to get it and it was about $2500.

- if you are "well endowed"- you could pay for insurance and possibly get it covered for necessity. obviously research would be needed for this. as well as a set up- going to the dr for back prob's before you mention surgery...

- some cities (few and far between) have employee insurance policies that cover some SRS. i don't know what your situation is but if you live somewhere like this- or are thinking of moving and feel like you could work for city government- that could factor in.

good luck man
