I adore this, I really do. I like having the character motivation played out thru Cas's pov. It is far from boring to read the re-telling of this story - when you bring so much to it as I relive it thru your story. This is made of awesome as are you. I'm so happy you started writing for this fandom. :)

Very interesting take on things. I am not certain I am fond of Cas but he feels very much as he was presented the first couple of seasons he was on the show. I always felt bad (and still hate) the way Heaven seems to despise Sam when all the kid ever wanted was to do the right thing. I wish he had had his own angel: something good that wanted to take care of him instead of demons and such.

Yeah he's more the emotionless soldier he was in the beginning here, that'll change as he slips further off his perch toward Sam.

Yeah it was kinda harsh the way Heaven always had it in for Sam, but he was made to be Lucifer's vessel and that was it as far as the angels were concerned.

It was clever the way it was tied in, but still sad for Sam and his faith, because he isn't Lucifer even if he was made in his image. Cas was always Dean's angel, which was understandable but left room for stories like this one, I think.
