I know it’s been forever. I’m doing well, a little sick today. I’m finally setting up my apartment the way I want it. It’s feeling good and more settled. It needs a little more me in there. I’m working on it

That is so cute!! I'm so glad that you found a really awesome person to share your world with. :) I'm on the same page with the friends thing. I have made numerous friends here, but they are surface level friends. Perhaps, time infuses deep intimate friendships. I'm not really sure. I don't have much to base this experience on as I lived in the Boulder/Denver area my whole life and maintained many of my deep relationships for years. It also seems that being in the 'real' world most people are really busy. Making deep friends seems to take much longer given how busy everyone is.

We should plan a friend date soon. And I think Seattle is a hard city to make really good friends in. I can't exactly put my finger on the reason why, but you're not the only one who I've heard express this sentiment in this lovely rainy city of ours. I know it's also been true for me :)
