I read the first three or four books of the Wheel of Time series. They went downhill for me, and I used to joke that I was waiting for Robert Jordan to finish them all before I picked them back up, just in case he, like, died before finishing the story

Reminds me of a joke: I've decided to go into palliative care instead of biomedical research. The outcomes are better.
