Meh, don't feel bad. I have been playing sims games off and on since the original sims (wow, that's been about 8 years! insane!) There were some times I played it obsessively and there were some years that I didn't even open the game. The sims always has a way of sucking you back in so I'm confident we'll see you come August. :)

And goodness gracious, enjoy Hong Kong! How exciting!

Oh yeah, it's like that for me too. It wasn't until I started
posting my legacies that I really started playing the game regularly. And wow, 8 years! I've only been playing for 2 :)

Thank you! It's a bit warm here but otherwise pretty awesome :D

Have a great time in HK. Don't stress yourself about LJ or the game - sometimes a break is just what we need to refuel our passion for it.

I know what you mean about wanting a break - sometimes I play for hours and have two or so updates in one week, and sometimes there are weeks in between updates; it all just depends on how much I feel like playing/updating.

I hope you have a good time in Hong Kong, and can't wait until you get back and feel like playing Sims again!

Same here, it takes me several play sessions to get one update done, so it depends on how much I want to play that week as well :)

Thank you!!

I've had times when I didn't really feel like playing either, with both games. With the first game, it really got old once I had all the expansion packs, actually. We generally got each one within a few months of the last one, so the gameplay was constantly changing and new things were coming up. Then once we had everything, there wasn't really anything left to add. Same thing is going on right now, I think. I'm having a little bit of this, myself, right now.

Long story short, I know how you feel and so do lots of others. It's no fun, but it passes. Hopefully for you it will soon!
