DREAMCATCHERS 2/7

Feb 15, 2013 04:05

SUMMARY What is real is not always true, what is true is not always real. In a world where there is no death, life comes at a price. Naruto is plagued with nightmares of a disremembered past, Sasuke must decide his fate, Obito has chosen to forget, and reality is just a matter of perception.

Really lovely writing style! Short, concise and minimalistic. Packs a punch as you read, and speeds up the pace.

I really look forward to the next chapter :D

New chapter! :) :) :) This really fills the fanfic-less void I've been having in my life for a while. I'm a sucker for dream-stuff, I love the (dark omen?) crows popping up everywhere and now the wish-box has been used dundunnn... I also like how you manage to keep Sasuke still a grumpy bastard despite them seemingly having ended up in a "everyone's alive"-happy version of the Narutoverse, the early-spring mood you set and how you intergrate Sakura without making her a fifth wheel.
Drama will be commencing soon, right?

Amendment: Totally overread that - "In a world where there is no death" so people REALLY don't die? Where's the catch?
Although, one could think, in the actual manga there's no death either with all those zombietastic resurrections...

I've always wanted to write Sasuke soooo... I'm glad he's relatively IC? XD
Hmmmm... I kind of saw it like, people "pass away" every now and then, but it's only ever heard of by word of mouth. No one's actually seen death, they just assume it's a part of life but it's not involved with them... sort of thing. Like, when you're in a dream, there's something you know about that dream that's not quite right, but close enough that you don't really question it?

And true... I need to re-read Shipuuden from the beginning, it's been awhile since I've refreshed my memories!

Oh, then I guess made quite a good point there and it's not exactly the type of dream you wanna wake up from... :P

What always bugs me the most when people write Sasuke is if they turn him into friendly everyguy or make him inferior to Naruto.

Moremoremore!

I'm really hooked on to this. It feels like they are all in Obito's genjutsu. Why is Obito happy and Rin sad? I can't wait to find out:))

Aaah this is amazing! Really beautifully written, it feels like you're weaving quite an intricate world. Umm I find it really interesting in particular how it veers completely from the canon world, with Kyuubi having a shrine and the lost scrolls and the dreamseers... I'm wondering loads of things... I'll look forward to an update!
