I know it sucks now, but I hope that you will look back and think that this is the best thing that could have happened to you because you seized this opportunity to do something fabulous with your life. (I know a huge number of people for whom this really has happened so emphasise the positives - after you've got good and drunk, or whatever, to mourn the passing of you old job of course!).

I am hoping that I will be able to look back and think that! I had the same thing happen to me in 2001 and spent 9 months looking. In retrospect, I can see that I grew during that time ... But it was HELL going through it! Not looking forward to that again, I can tell you ... *grumbles*
